What is Online Redemption?

Mabuhay Miles Online Redemption is a new channel for members to redeem travel award tickets via Philippine Airlines website www.philippineairlines.com.


How do I redeem miles for an award ticket online?

From the Philippine Airlines website

  1. Visit www.philippineairlines.com
  2. On the Book a Flight a tab, click Book with Mabuhay Miles
  3. Enter your 9-digit membership ID and password
  4. Enter your desired destination, date of travel and pay with your Miles

From the Mabuhay Miles website

  1. Visit www.mabuhaymiles.com
  2. Log in using your 9-digit membership ID password
  3. Click the Redeem Now button present on the homepage screen or on the My Account tab
  4. Enter your desired destination, date of travel and pay with your Miles


Who are qualified to redeem online?

Members who have registered their account in Mabuhay Miles website.


How do I register my account on the Mabuhay Miles website?

For New Members:

  1. Enroll and register online at www.mabuhaymiles.com with a unique email address*, password and supply a security question for password recovery.
  2. Once enrolled, allow a 72-hour processing time before you can use your membership number and password to redeem online.

For Existing Members:

  1. Create an online account on the website and provide a unique email address*, password and a security question for password recovery.
  2. Once registered, allow a 72-hour processing time before you can use your membership number and password to redeem online.

*A unique address is linked to one account to secure and verify your Mabuhay Miles transactions online.


What are the guidelines in creating a password online? 

The following are the guidelines for password creation: 

  1. Must have a minimum of five (5) and a maximum of eight (8) characters.
  2. Must contain alpha-numeric characters.
  3. Must use upper and lower cases for letters.
  4. Must contain a special character.

Is there a minimum age requirement to redeem online?

Yes.  Member must be 12 years old and above to do online redemption.


Can a member redeem a travel award ticket for others?

No.  Currently, the member can only redeem a travel award ticket for himself.


Can I use my Miles to pay for taxes, fees and surcharges?

No.  At present, you can only pay taxes, fees and surcharges with Credit/Debit Cards (MasterCard/Visa/JCB/American Express), BancNet, Alipay and Paypal.  


Can I redeem for today's flight?

Yes.  You may redeem an award ticket at least 2 hours before your desired departure time subject to award seat availability.


Can I redeem my miles for a one-way trip?

Yes, you have the option to book your Miles for a one-way trip or roundtrip tickets.


Can I redeem award tickets on codeshare flights or airline partners?

No.  Currently, you may use your Miles to book Philippine Airlines and PAL Express flights only.


Will there be a redeposit of Miles should the flight be cancelled?

Yes, you may go to any PAL ticket offices, Mabuhay Miles Service Center or call our contact center at (632) 855-8888 to redeposit of Miles.  For members residing in US and Canada, you may contact our toll free hotline at 1-800-435-9725.


Can I rebook or cancel my award ticket online?

No.  To rebook your flight booking, please visit any PAL ticket office, the Mabuhay Miles Service Center, or call our contact center at (632) 855-8888.  For members residing in US and Canada, you may contact our toll free hotline at 1-800-435-9725.  Standard Mabuhay Miles rebooking fees of USD30 (for Philippine Domestic flights), USD40 (for Regional flights) and USD50 (for International flights) and terms and conditions applies.


Will there be an MM redeposit fee should I cancel my award ticket and redeposit the Miles?

Yes. Standard Mabuhay Miles re-deposit fee of USD30 and terms and conditions applies. To request, you may go to any PAL ticket offices, Mabuhay Miles Service Center or call our contact center at (632) 855-8888. For members residing in US and Canada, you may contact our toll free hotline at 1- 800-435-9725.


I encountered problems when I booked online.  My repeated efforts to check the fares have failed.  I cannot get past the flight availability page.  What will I do?

Our Online Booking facility will function best using Internet Explorer v10.0 and higher.  We strongly recommend that you upgrade your browser or use a PC that has Internet Explorer 10.0 or higher.  You may also opt to use the latest version of the other browsers such as Google Chrome, Firefox, etc.


How would I know if I made a successful booking?

A confirmation page will be prompted on your screen.  You will also receive an e-ticket itinerary receipt at the time of award redemption.
